Our Gift Vouchers.... This year we have sold more gift vouchers than ever before.

We are delighted to say that our Gift Vouchers have been a huge success.
We have had a number of couples book honeymoons via our office and then
ask for presents of our gift vouchers to put toward payment.

We had one gentleman who bought a voucher for his wife's birthday so that
she could choose the service she wanted from our Concierge list, she wisely
chose for us to arrange a spa day for her and a friend.

So if you want to purchase vouchers please go to our shop for further details.

BEARSLAKE INN

Last weeks glorious weather prompted one of our clients to take a road trip to Devon. On Monday they called our office to sing the praises and ask us to post a glowing review on BEARSLAKE INN AND RESTAURANT.  We are only too happy to oblige……http://www.bearslakeinn.com/default.asp

Bearslake Inn is located between Okehampton and Tavistock on the northwest edge of Dartmoor.  A family run Inn with six letting rooms all individually styled. The Inn welcomes families and we are happy to report will accept small dogs
(must pre-arrange).

Mr & Mrs J report that the rooms were lovely, they stayed in the Garden room with (as the name suggests) direct access to the garden. As clients that are used to five star hotels, they were very pleasantly surprised at the level of service and individual attention the staff at the inn gave to each and every guest.

The restaurant uses local produce and serves food that some of London’s top eateries would envy. The wine list is large and varied, and pre-dinner drinks can be taken in the snug.

Mr & Mrs J were so impressed that after the initial two night stay they returned for a further night on the way back through Devon and are already talking about another visit later this summer.

Sounds like this is one that we might just have to visit as well this summer.

Alpheton Hall Barns

We have just paid a visit to possibly the oldest timber framed barn in England. Alpheton Hall Barns is a newly restored barn just off the A134 between Bury St Edmunds and Long Melford.

The barn is located next to the village church and provides a wonderful countryside setting for any event. The newly created kitchens offer caterers an excellent work space and we love the fact that the venue has not contracted to any one company, so your free to bring in your own. They offer a huge space to accommodate a bar, disco or live band, dance area and seating for up to 200 people.

Work is continuing on a dressing room for the bride and a smaller barn that will be used for civil weddings or smaller events. Parking is plentiful and the garden area provides a lovely area for a drinks reception.

The owners Carol and Nicholas Willcocks are very helpful and happy to assist with any request.  We look forward to working with the venue in future. Please contact our office for more details or go to http://www.lavenham.com

Leeds Castle

We recently spent a lovely weekend at Leeds Castle in Kent. The Castle Estate has three self catering properties to rent. As a family of nine we booked the Keepers House. The house is located approximately fifteen minutes walk from the castle through the wonderful grounds or you can board the complimentary train that runs through the grounds stopping at various points, it can be picked up at the shop five minutes away.
Keepers House has five bedrooms sleeping ten in total. It is located at the edge of the castle grounds in a peaceful area with a small river to the front. The only noise to disturb your stay is running water and bird song.
Everything you could need for a relaxing weekend is provided including yearly passes for the Castle Estate, so you can return time and time again. Leeds Castle has much to offer including a nine hole golf course, playground, maze and aviary.
Its the perfect venue for a wedding or any celebration. To find out more about staying at or visiting Leeds Castle please feel free to contact our office or go to www.leeds-castle.com

Perfect Venues Nominates Charity

For many years we, as a company have sponsored various events and individuals for charity, we have also sent out large numbers of Christmas Cards. This year we decided not to do any of this but instead to nominate a single charity and make a donation to them. After much deliberation we decided on the Teenage Cancer Trust.  A charity devoted to improving the lives of teenagers and young adults with cancer. The charity provides specialist care and support for young people fighting the battle with cancer. They believe that teenagers shouldn't have to stop being teenagers, just because they have cancer. They build specialist units in NHS hospitals which improve the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer.

We are also happy to report that one celebratory couple recently decided they did not want gifts, instead they asked guests to make a donation to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

If you would like to know more please go to www.teenagecancertrust.org and join us and its patrons including, Sarah Duchess of York and Frank Lampard to name but a couple, in giving young people with cancer a chance at a brighter, healthier future.

Making Marriott History

In Sept last year we were lucky enough to book a Pitch View Suite for the double- header rugby day at the newly opened Twickenham Marriott. Upon arrival we were advised that an error had been made and the suites were not yet available to the public! When I produced my confirmation the management went to work. Within half an hour all 6 of us were ensconced in our wonderful suite. So what is a pitch view suite? Well it's a large double room with bathroom overlooking the rugby pitch, this connects to a large dining / sitting room with dining table for 10, couch seating, a fridge, large plasma TV, a private entrance and second bathroom But the best bit about a pitch view suite is that the view is from your balcony with seating for ten located in the south stand or just outside your patio doors.  After the match and lots of room service, our guests left and we settled in for the night, an eerie silence descended on Twickenham and you look out of the window or stand on your balcony and marvel at this huge empty sporting icon.
And the historic bit?  Well that night we were the first and only people to sleep on the sixth floor in the brand new pitch view suites.

We would like to thank everyone at the hotel for all there help and assure you we will be back again soon.

Please contact us for more information on the Pitch View Suites.
